Clark County Recycling District

Curbside recycling routes start at 6:00 A.M. each morning. Recommendation: set recycling out the night before. Missed recycling due to residents setting out late will NOT be picked up until the next cycle​. The recycle trucks end their routes at 5:00 P.M.

If your recycling was missed you must call within 24 hours to our office (812-256-7942) to be considered to be picked back up again. We will verify if you were missed through the use of tracking software that is installed on the recycle trucks.

Flattened cardboard that cannot fit in a recycling container, over five boxes, must be flattened, tied up with twine or string, and placed beside recycling containers. There have been staff safety issues with broken glass in boxes -- boxes must be broken down and tied, or they may not be picked up.

All recycling must be placed in a clearly marked recycling container and in a visible spot for pickup.  Avoid container being blocked by a parked car or trash can.

Curbside recycling is for residents living within the town or city boundaries of Clarksville, Jeffersonville, and of Sellersburg. If you receive  trash service from the municipalities listed above, you qualify for curbside service. If you have to contract your trash service then you do not qualify for curbside service.​
