Garbage Collection:

Is provided on a weekly basis, City cans are to be out by 5:30 am.

Rubbish Pickup:

Refrigerators/Air Conditioners:

Federal law requires that the Freon in these items must be certified out and tagged by an individual who is licensed to do this type of service. The City of Charlestown provides pickup service for its residents and realized no profit from the fee that is changed by the Landfill to have these items certified and disposed of properly.

BEFORE a refrigerator or air conditioner will be picked up, residents must pay a $40.00 fee (subject to change), at the Mayor's Office, 304 Main Cross, Charlestown, for this certification and disposal.

Tires:

BEFORE, a tire will be picked up residents must pay a fee (subject to change) for each tire, at the Mayor's Office, 304 Main Cross, Charlestown , for this disposal.
